Spine of first volume is torn (open tears) and partly detached. Front binding of first volume is loose. Open tears to spine of second volume.

Survey of different sites in the country, mainly sites with significance to Christianity. Accompanied by 72 engraved plates (including a title page) after drawings by William Henry Bartlett. Seven engraved plates are lacking.
