1. Esther Scroll. Sephardi scribal writing. [Jerusalem, 19th century]. Ownership inscription at the beginning of the scroll indicates that it was bought on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, in 1864: “Bought by me at the Bible Depot ‘Mount Zion’, Jerusalem, 1864. Arch d. P. Black A. M.”. “HaMelech” scroll, all of “HaMelech” initials are decorated with a flower. Rolled on a carved wooden handle. Height of parchment: 12.5 cm. 21 lines per column. Height of handle: 28 cm. Fair condition. Tears to first and last membranes. Stains. 2. Esther Scroll. Sephardi scribal writing. [Baghdad, 19th-20th century]. Miniature format. Fine writing on thin parchment. With blessings for reading the scroll at the beginning and at the end. Parchment ribbon for tying. Rolled on a carved wooden handle. Height of parchment: 6 cm. 15 lines per column. Height of handle: 17 cm. Good condition. Damages to text in several places. Some breaks to handle.
