Four parts, five title pages: Part 1 – Bereshit, Part 2 – Shemot-Vayikra, Part 3 (called Part 2) – on Bamidbar-Devarim, Part 4 – sermons on the festivals and times.
Rabbi Chaim Yoseph Brookstein (died 1865, Otzar HaRabbanim 6367), a gaon and chassid renowned for his holiness, Rabbi of Pistin. Disciple of the Ba’al Hatanya and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev. His book is a source of their words and the words of the rabbis of their generation whom he knew.
