Reverse: German legend: in bösen Zeiten ist ohn Zweifel ein Mensch oft des andern Teufel [in bad times, undoubtedly, man often becomes the other's devil]. According to Bruno Kirschner (Deutsche Spottmedaillen auf Juden, no. 30), the medal was designed following the 1923 inflation in Germany and makes use of anti-Semitic motifs. Diameter: 37 mm. AU-UNC. Uneven patina. 2. Medal minted for the International-Colonial Exposition in Paris (Exposition Coloniale Internationale). Paris, 1931. Marked. Obverse: The Palestine pavilion at the exposition and the legend "Exposition Coloniale Internationale, Paris 1931". Reverse: Olive branch and the legend "Palestine" (Hebrew, English and Arabic). On the lower part, the artist's signature: L. Bazor. The exposition, which opened in May 1931, was meant to display the rich and diverse cultures of the imperial colonies, including Palestine.
