Three amulets for protection of the home, and for general welfare and prosperity. [Palestine or the vicinity, first half of 20th century].
Ink on paper; glass, sheet metal, and cardboard frames.
1. Amulet for the protection of the home and household, with the Hebrew inscription "Blessed are you upon your arrival, and blessed are you upon your departure"; the enlarged Hebrew letter "He," and underneath it, the hand ("hamsa") symbol. 13.5X17.5 cm. Good condition. Few stains and abrasions to paper. Glass broken.
2. Amulet for general welfare and prosperity, with Psalms 108, followed by a prayer, which, basing itself on the aforementioned chapter of Psalms, entreats G-d to bless the homeowner with general welfare, prosperity, tranquility, and security. 11X13.5 cm. Good condition. Stains and rust.
3. Amulet for the protection of the home and household. Inscriptions in Hebrew; Star of David at center, encircled by the words of "Shema Yisrael" ("Hear O Israel..."), acronym of "Ana Bekoach," names of angels, names of G-d, and more. 10X10.5 cm. Good condition. Minor abrasions to frame cardboard.
