Accompanied by 28 engravings: illustrated title page; 20 maps (double-page engravings), of Eretz Israel and the vicinity, maps of the territories of the 12 Tribes, a map of Jerusalem, and more (one of the maps is partially colored); and seven double-page plates -illustrations of the Temple, various pagan rituals and more.
[10], 434 (mispaginated; there are more than 434 pp.), 202, [18] pp. Missing: [1] leaf at the beginning of the book, [2] at the end, and a large folded map of Eretz Israel. It is possible that an additional plate is missing. 33 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, tears; some restored with pasted paper or with adhesive tape (with damage to some of the plates). Margins of first and last leaves are professionally restored. New binding and endpapers. Ancient inscriptions on several leaves.
