"The assembly of Rabbis of BADATZ - Ashkenazi Prushim and Hasidim in Jerusalem…gathered on Hol Hamoed Sukkot 1920 – expresses its deep sorrow in view of desecrating the Torah and the name of God in "Kol Ha-Shofar"… despising rudely the honorable…Rabeinu Avraham Yithak HaCohen Kook , and his great student the Gaon Zadik Rabbi Ya'acov Moshe Harlap…"

"Kol Ha-Shofar" proclamation, published Elul 1919, ignited a heated dispute in Jerusalem, which continued to burn even after the Gerrer Rebbe visited Jerusalem in 1920 (see enclosed material).
