Talmud Yerushalmi – Shklov, 1812 – Additional title page from Kopy

Opening: $400
Unsold
1. Talmud Yerushalmi, Seder Zera'im, with commentary by Eliyahu of Fulda. Kopys / Shklov, [1812].
This copy has two title pages. First title page: "Talmud Yerushalmi from Tractate Berachot and all Seder Zera'im … printed in Kapust", the second title page: "… from Seder Zera'im Tractate Shevi'it and Terumot and Ma'asrot… in Shklov". On verso of first title page approbations by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchov for the printer Rabbi Mordechai Horowitz of Kopys who is the printer written on the title page of the Shklov edition.
Copies with each of title pages alone appear in the bibliography. It is not known if the printing was done in both places or perhaps only the first title page was printed in Kopys. A number of theories have been raised on this topic (see: C. Leiberman, Ohel Rachel, page 166; Ginzei Yisrael, No. 140; Bibliography Institute CD, Listings 0308232, 0308272). In this copy, in addition to the title page from Shklov, also the title page from "Kapust" was bound with the approbations.
2. Talmud Yerushalmi, Seder Mo'ed, with commentary Korban Ha'Eda and Tosfot Shirei Korban by Rabbi David Frankel. Shklov, [1812]. At the end of Tractate Mo'ed Katan "completed… all of Seder Mo'ed" [end of Seder Mo'ed different from listing in Bibliography Institute CD].
Changing pagination [identical to listing in Bibliography Institute CD]. 34-35 cm. Good-fair condition. Wear and tear. Light restoration and paper pasting. New bindings.
