Spice container. Germany, mid 19th century, dedication from 1857. Silver (marked), filigree and engraving. Square base positioned on four balls. A dedication is engraved on the panels of the base: “…generous… Moshe of Odessa [?] from Berlin in memory of his father Yitzchak… Halevi in 1857…”. The tower consists of three tiers; two are in delicate filigree craftsmanship in geometric and vegetal patterns. A door opens with a lock, for spices. A bell on top of a small ball is hung on the center of the upper tier. Height: 29 cm. Fair condition. Damages to door. A flag and post are missing.
