Elegant edition of the Song of Songs, accompanied by prints by the Scottish artist William Russell Flint; copy no. 6 of 17 copies printed on vellum (only 15 of which were put up for sale.)
The volume includes the Biblical Song of Songs in its entirety, printed on vellum, followed by 10 color prints (signed in the plate), tipped-in on paper mounts. Each print is preceded by a vellum leaf, upon which the relevant verse is inscribed. Top edge gilt. Fine gilt vellum binding, with green cotton ties.
Enclosed is a folder, containing an additional copy of each of the 10 prints.
