Sefer Asefat Zekenim, Shita Mekubetzet on tractate Beitza. Includes Avodat HaKodesh by the Rashba [Rabbi Shlomo ben Aderet], on laws of Yom Tov, and Sefer Porat Yosef by Rabbi Yosef Samiga, on tractate Beitza. Metz, 1764.
Many ownership signatures from city of Cirali: “Liber Estreich”’ “Alexander Yonatan Estreich”; “Elazar son of Rabbi Shlomo Katz, Cirali”; “Yechezkel Fenigstein of Cirali; “Yozfa Henigstein”; “Meir Perles”; and more. Last leaf contains handwritten inscription poem in honor of groom by name of “Ya’akov”.
Rabbi Meir Perles (1811-1894), great Torah giant of his generation and among prominent disciples of the Chatam Sofer. Disciple of his father, Ga’on Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Perles (1784-1854, Av Beit Din of Bonyhad author of Bayit Ne’eman). Son-in-law of Ga’on rabbi Yitzchak Frankel Av Beit Din of Cirali; from 1835 succeeded him in rabbinate of Cirali where he served for approximately sixty years.
Following rabbis served in rabbinate of Cirali: Rabbi Meir Estreich who passed away in 1775 and his son Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Estreich who served in the rabbinate for 44 years until 1819.
