Five Megillot, with Rashi and Minchat Shai, and with the Sheyarei Mincha commentary by R. Or Shraga Feivush Rabbi of Dubrovna. Shklow, 1800.
R. Or Shraga Rabbi of Dubrovna was the son-in-law of the Gaon of Vilna (in his first marriage). In 1804, approximately four years after the present book was printed, R. Or Shraga published in Dubrovna a Chumash with the first edition of the commentary of the Gaon of Vilna on the Torah. The Chumash includes his own commentaries on the Torah, Menorat Shlomo and Minchat Kalil (see item 2). At the end of the Book of Vayikra of that edition, he describes his youth, when he he had the merit of being in the presence of the Gaon of Vilna: " When I was young, I tasted a little honey and honeycomb sweet to my palate, from… the Gaon…".
Incomplete copy. [2], 1-2, 5-44, 51-66, 69-72 leaves. Lacking 10 leaves: 3-4, 45-50, 67-68. 21 cm. Thick paper. Overall good condition. Loose and detached leaves and gatherings. Stains. Open tear to final leaf, affecting text. Stamp on title page, mostly scratched off, with minor damage to text. Worming, slightly affecting text. Without binding.
