Sefer Mevasser Tzedek, Kabbalic commentaries on the five books of Moses, by Rabbi Yissachar Dov Ber descendant of Tzvi, Berditchev 1817. Second edition.
The author Rabbi Yissachar Ber of Zlotchov, disciple of the Mezhirich Maggid, Rabbi Yechiel Michal of Zlachov and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev. When old he moved to Jerusalem and died in Safed, Av 1795. His book Mevasser Tzedek is one of the most known and important Chasidut books.
On the title-page: Signature in his own handwriting: Rabbi Aryeh Leib of Bender. Signature of his grandson Rabbi "Yitzchak Wetheim of Bender J.W.R.B." and a signature in Russian. Ink-stamp of "The Kloiz of the Rabbi of Bender…" On leaf 13, ownership inscription by Rabbi Shalom of Bender, son of Rebbe Aryeh Leib.
Rabbi Aryeh Leib (Wertheim) of Bender, grandson of the Ba'al Shem Tov and son-in-law of Rabbi Nachum of Chernobel, (through his second marriage he was the son-in-law of Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz's son). Rabbi Moshe Zvi of Savran's brother. Their name was Wertheim as their famous grandfather's name Rabbi Shimshon Wertheimer of Vienna.
He was sent in 1814 by the Rabbi of Apta to serve as rabbi of Benderi and spread the Chasidut in Beserabia. Died in 1854.
His son is Rebbe Shimon Shlomo, and his grandson is Rebbe Yitzchak Wertheim of Bender, son-in-law of Rebbe Yosef of Radiwil. See also next item.
