Printed dedication leaf filled in the author's handwriting glued to the back of the title page. Ink-stamp of Rabbi"Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini [¦]Qarasuvbazar". [Most of the dedications were filled by his scribes; it is rare to find a dedication is his own holy handwriting]
Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini, (1833-1905) was born in Jerusalem, served as rabbi in Krim and Hebron; a tremendous scholar. Compiled the Torah Encyclopedia on his own, tens of volumes of "S'deh Chemed", and other books.
[4], 3-7, 4-564, 32.5 cm. Fair condition. Slight moth damage. Tears around the leaves' edges. Detached and worn leaves. Worn and dismantled binding.
