The book S'deh Chemed, containing rules of the Talmud and of the poskim, and a collection of laws. First part (1-2-3) by Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini. Warsaw, 1891.
On the other side of the title-page there is a printed dedication page, with the stamp and handwriting of the S'deh Chemed, to his friend Rabbi Ya'akov Vilenchik, Rabbi of Pickelin.
Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini, (1833-1905) was born in Jerusalem, served as rabbi in Krim and Hebron; he was a tremendous scholar. He compiled the Torah Encyclopedia on his own, tens of volumes of S'deh Chemed, and other books.
The receiver was Rabbi Ya'akov Vilenchik (born 1852, Otzar Harabbanim 9604), author of Daltei Teshuva and Be'er Ya'akov.
