"Urgent!!!To all our friends in the Street", handwritten letter (circular) by the "League for Working Palestine" in Vishnyeva. Vishnyeva (Poland; now Belarus), 1935.
The letter is addressed to friends of the league, requesting assistance. It reports that HaShomer HaZair branch in the town was banned by the rabbi, that he persecutes league members, and that they suffer lack of funding and need support to continue Zionist activities in the town.
The letter is signed by the heads of the group, including Zvi Meltzer (grandfather of Shimon Peres), and stamped with the stamps of the league (in Yiddish) and the Vishneva branches of HeChalutz and HaShomer HaTzair.
Folded sheet, [3] written pages, 30 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Folding marks and creases. Tears. Staple on the top of the first leaf.
