Passover Haggadah – Maaleh Bet Chorin, "Ashkenazi and Sephardi rite", with commentaries – Alshech, Gevurot Hashem by the Maharal and Olelot Efraim by Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim of Luntschitz (author of Keli Yakar). Amsterdam: Proops, [1781]. First edition of the Haggadah under this title.
Additional engraved title page. Engraved illustrations based on the Amsterdam 1695 edition. A large engraved map of Eretz Israel (folded plate) is bound at the end of the Haggadah.
Interesting glosses on p. 8b, with mention of thoughts heard by the writer from Mr. Max Fränkel, in the name of R. (Binyamin) Wilhelm Posen (a leader of the Frankfurt am Main community).
[2], 52 leaves + folding plate (map). 25.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains, including many dark wine stains. Small marginal tear to engraved title page. Many tears to map (primarily to margins, without loss). Stamp. Rebacked, with most of the original leather boards.
