Jerusalem, 1853. Signed by the groom (in the same Rashi script of the Ketubah itself), and the witnesses Rabbi “Yitzchak Shatz” and Rabbi “Yosef Yoel son of R’ Eliyahu Rivlin”. Together with his uncle Rabbi Leib Salant (son of Rabbi Yosef Zundel) he dealt in the sale of etrogim “meyuchasim” grown in Eretz Israel and their export. He was one of the key public activists in constructing new neighborhoods in Jerusalem and was one of the first seven settlers in the Nachlat Shiva neighborhood. Approximately 35X26.5 cm. Round cutting at the top of the leaf following the shape of the decoration. High-quality paper, good-fair condition, wear and folding creases.
