The book endeavors to explain the fundamentals of the worship of G-d, based on the principles of the Arizal's doctrine, as received by the author from his prime teacher, Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi – Baal HaTanya and Shulachan Aruch.

Ownership inscription and stamp on title pgae, by Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Mendelsohn, Rabbi of Wieniawa (near Lublin). Rabbi Mendelsohn's name and signature appear on a responsum dating to ca. 1864, near the signature of Rabbi Zadok HaKohen of Lublin.

Containing Chassidic glosses and commentaries, with glosses and additions to margins; includes references to Chassidic works by the Tzemach Tzedek, among which are references to his manuscript homilies. As far as can be established, the text in the present manuscript was never printed.
