Passover Haggadah, Nchal battalion 908. [Israel], 1954.
The Haggadah contains passages from the traditional text and the story of the exodus from Egypt alongside passages of prose and poetry dealing with the persecution of the Jews in the Diaspora, the degeneration of the Diaspora, pioneership, the revival of the Jewish Nation in its country and its willingness to defend itself: "And recently Israel has experienced oppressors and tyrants… and it is despised and plundered, hated and persecuted, imprisoned in ghettoes, and feelings of love of the land has died within it… and it didn’t recognize the smell of ripe grains… and a few people stood up and immigrated to Palestine and it was locked behind them – pioneers to fertilize the wilderness and build a home for an orphaned and exiled nation, and we shall recognize the labor of the sowers and the joy of the reapers and we will teach ourselves archery to stand before our enemy" (Hebrew; page 16). The text is accompanied by illustrations dealing with the story of the exodus from Egypt alongside illustrations emphasizing Passover being a time of blossoming and ripening of the crops.
