The story of bombarding Algiers from the sea in 1816, when the British and Dutch navies bombarded Algiers from the sea in an attempt to end slavery in Algiers, composed by Avraham V. Salame who documented the battle in great detail and added his commentaries. The author, born in Egypt, mentions briefly in the book his travels in the Mediterranean basin, including Eretz Israel, with references accompanied by engravings to women's costumes including Jewish women.
