"Mosquito Danger", trilingual broadside (printed in Hebrew, Arabic and English) warning the public of mosquitoes spreading malaria. Printed by the American Zionist Medical Unit. Jerusalem: Bezalel, [ca. 1920]. Monsohn Lithographic Press.?Printed in the middle of the broadside is an explanation regarding the means of avoiding mosquito bites and preventing the spread of mosquitoes, surrounded by explanatory illustrations.?The American Zionist Medical Unit (the medical unit of the Hadassah Women's Organization) was founded in order to restore the health and welfare institutions of the Jewish community in Palestine, destroyed during World War I. In 1921, the unit became a permanent health organization in Palestine - the Hadassah Medical Organization.?57X36 cm. The broadside is made of two parts mounted together (the large part among them ends with the details of the printing press. On the second part, the inscription: "Prepared by A.Z.M.U." Is printed). Good-fair condition. Filing holes. Fold lines. A few stains. Tears and open tears, some affecting text and illustration, some reinforced with tape.
