After the title page there is a dedication by the author "A souvenir from the visit to my home, with appreciation and blessings of the author". The owner's signature is "Rabbi Yehuda Dim".
Rabbi Yehezkel Sarna (1889-1969) was a leading member of the Mussar movement. He was a close disciple of the Rabbi N.Z. Finkel "the Slabodka Zaide" and a son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein Rosh Yeshiva of Knesset Yisrael in Slabodka. He was one of the founders of the Hevron branch of the Yeshiva, and he became Rosh Yeshiva when his father-in-law passed away. He was one of the heads of the "Moezet Gedolei Hatorah" and his opinion was valued in each and every public issue.
