Aharon Chorin - Choriner (1766-1844), leader and founder of the Reform movement in Hungary. In his youth studied under the "Noda B'Yehuda", served as rabbi in Arad and was faithful to Halacha, however, at a certain stage he went astray and began writing "Halachic" compositions which supported various alterations to the religion. The Chatam Sofer, the Maharam Banet and other rabbis of the generation fiercely opposed him and excommunicated him.
The author - Rabbi Yehonatan HaLevi Alter (1755-1855), Av Beit Din of Yaniko (Bohemia). Corresponded with the Chatam Sofer (see: Personalities in Responsa of the Chatam Sofer, p. 151).
