Tabula geographica Terrae Sanctae, map of Palestine, edited by Jacques Bonfrère. Hand-colored engraving, from La galerie agréable du monde, by Pieter van der Aa. Leiden: Petrum Vander, [1729].
The map is east-oriented and depicts Palestine on both sides of the Jordan River, with the territories of the Tribes. The shoreline stretches from Byblos on the slopes of the Lebanon Mountain to the Nile Delta. With a key, compass and scale at bottom.
This map is a different scale version of the map of Palestine after Adrichom that was first published in 1631 (in Onomasticon urbium et locorum Sacrae Scripturae, by Jacques Bonfrère. Paris 1631).

Engraved map: approx. 102X38 cm. (printed on two conjoined sheets of paper), framed: 107X50 cm. Good condition. Fold lines. Creases and minor stains. Several tears, perforations and wormholes, mostly to margins. Several perforations, slightly affecting the map, restored with paper on verso. Two small ink notations on margins.
