Descriptio seu Ichnographia Veteris Urbis Hierusalem et Locorum Adjacentium. Map of Jerusalem - copper engraving. [Leiden, 1723].
Map of Jerusalem surrounded by a wall, with designations of the holy sites, including the Temple Mount (Mount Moriah). Oriented to the north (compare to Laor 1061, which is a similar map oriented to the east). Possibly from Bernard Lamy’s book, Apparatus Biblicus Sive Manuductio Ad Sacram Scripturam (Leiden, 1723).
Copperplate engraving. Ca. 42X42 cm (sheet 44X51.5 cm). Good condition. Creases. Some stains. Tears, professionally restored.
