Manuscript, siddur Tiklal, early Yemenite version [Baladi-rite], Part 2. Contains: Passover Haggadah, Kinot for Tisha B'Av, Selichot, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur prayers, Hosha'anot and piyyutim for Succot and for Simchat Torah. [Yemen, c. 1777].
The manuscript was dated according to the date which appears on the Kinah, Lachen Anshei Levav which is recited on the eve of Tisha B'Av, dated 1709 years "after the destruction of the Second Temple, built by Ezra, our master", and 2199 years "after the destruction of the First Temple and the dispersion of our exiles, we who were exiled here in the land of our persecutors" [According to tradition, Yemenite Jews descended from exiles after the destruction of the First Temple and they did not return to Eretz Israel at the time Ezra and Nechemia rebuilt the Second Temple].
At the top of the manuscript are sale-bills for this siddur. Several leaves were replaced with copies in a later handwriting [20th century]. Another leaf was bound at the end of the siddur [in a later handwriting] with a chart of the New Moons for 1896-1905.
