Handwritten leaf, prayer for the success of the "Exalted Coalition Kings" in the war against the "Foreigners that flooded our borders, many countries were abandoned to be trampled". [Europe, late 18th century].
At the top of the leaf is the title, "Every day before reciting Ashrei and U'Vah L'Zion, the leader of the prayers and the community shall say the five following Psalms: 13, 20, 27, 46, 144 and then they shall say the prayer".
Apparently, these prayers were said during the "Napoleon Wars" and the prayer was composed for the success of the coalition armies who fought against Napoleon's army.
Leaf 34.5 cm. High-quality paper, good-fair condition. Stains, damages [restored] to paper folds and margins.
