Manuscript, Diwan - songs and piyyutim, poems for Shabbat and Festivals, and more. [Yemen, c. 19th century]. Hebrew and Judeo-Arabic.
Long, narrow format. Composed from an earlier manuscript, in attractive Yemenite writing, vowelized, with later handwritten replacements on bluish leaves, in Yemenite script [partially vowelized]. In addition to the poems and refrains, tales were added to the section written later.
[218] leaves. Height: 23 cm. Width: 9 cm. Good-fair condition. Most of the leaves in good condition. Stains. Several leaves have tears affecting text. A number of leaves are detached or loose. Damaged binding.
