Two Rare Proclamations to Strengthen the Chastity of Jewish GirlsTwo rare proclamations of letters by leaders of Lithuania and Poland to strengthen the chastity commandment. Warsaw, 1902.
The proclamations were issued by the Tzadik of Warsaw, Rabbi Chaim Ya'akov Naftali Zilberberg (his stamp appears on one of the proclamations) who initiated printing the rules of Tohara in Yiddish and post them in synagogues. "Chevrot Nashim" organization initiated as well the idea that respected women will teach others how to immerse in the Mikve according to halachic rules.
Letter by Warsaw rabbis, proclamation by the Rebbe of Gur and letter by Rebbe of Radzmyn. Other proclamation: letters by leaders of Poland and Lithuania: Rabbi Avraham of Sochaczew, Rabbi Yoav Yehoshua Av-Beit-Din of Kinsk (the "Chelkat Yoav"), Rabbi Meir Yechiel Ha-levy Av-Beit- Din of Ostrowca, Rabbi Menachem of Amshinov, Rabbi Eliezer Gordon, Rabbi Chaim Ha-Levy Soloveichik, the "Aruch Ha-Shulchan", the Ridbaz, Rabbi Yitzchak Blaser, the "Chafetz Chaim", Rabbi Rafael Shapira of Volozin, and other rabbis. Size varies, fair condition, foxing and moisture marks.
