8 letters sent from J.L. Brecher in Vienna, to his father (and a separate letter to his mother, after the father's passing) in the city of Safed. 1916-1918.
Typewritten of stationery of "Hilfkommission 1915 u. Oestereichisches Landeskomitee für Palästina" [1915 Help Committee and the National Austrian Committee for Israel]. Brecher, who was probably a secretary or treasurer of the committee, details the transmission of sums from Austria to needy Jews in Israel. Charity money deposited in the Rothchild Bank in Vienna are also mentioned.
