An official letter from "The Zionist Commission for Palestine" to the Chief Rabbinate in Eretz Israel, concerning the possession of King David's Tomb on Mount Zion. Jerusalem, august 1921.
Printed on the Zionist Commission official stationery. The letter describes the dispute concerning the possession of King David's Tomb on Mount Zion, and the Jewish leadership is summoned to express its attitude concerning this topic. The letter in signed (in pen) by the deputy chairman of the Zionist Commission to Palestine.
Leaf, 27.5 cm. Good condition. Several hand written corrections. Chief Rabbinate ink stamp. Filing holes. Slight tears around the edges. Dark edges.
• Attached is a letter to the Chief Rabbinate from "The Local committee for JNF donations" (printed on official stationery, with a handwritten addition) in which the committee asks to apply the regulation which applies to all of the official national institutes in Jerusalem and which states that all institutes have to attach JNF stamps to their outgoing letters and "not to receive any complaint or request which does not bear these stamps". Signed in pen by the chairman of the committee.
