Letter from Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Friedling Av-Beit-Din Boskavice (Poland). Otwock, 1934.
In the letter from the cure-city "Otwock pastures close to Warsaw", Rabbi Zvi Hirsch tells about his disease which forced him to be in a sanatorium, about his community "which was diminished and where only a few were left" and about the difficult economic situation of Polish Jews.
Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Friedling (1884-1940), was born in Zamosc and was appointed as Rabbi of the nearby city of Boskovice. Published a periodical on Halacha, homiletics and debate, through which he became known in public for his religious greatness.
Author of "Ratz Ka-Zvi" and other books. Moved to Warsaw in 1936 where he served as rabbi in one of the suburbs. Perished in the holocaust. See attached material (Eile Ezkera, 7, pp. 230-233).
