Rabbi Shlomo Even Danan, leading Moroccan rabbi (1848-1930), disciple of Rabbi Eliyahu Ha-Tzarfati, Kabbalist and Ga'on, served as Rabbi of Fez and Rabat. Author of Ashe Le-Shlomo Responsum. The receiver of the letter was the pious and holy Rabbi Yehoshua Aharon Afriat of Sefrou. Died in 1901 – see enclosed material.
