A letter on behalf of "Va'ad HaMasdirim shel 'Mikra Upayrusho'", to the author and scholar Avraham Kahana. Hand-signed by Haim Nachman Bialik and by others. Berlin, (1924).
Letter to the author and researcher Avraham Kahana asking him to participate in writing a bible commentary, for an edition titled "Mikra Ufarusho" (the Bible and its commentary) about to be published by "Dvir-Mikra".
"… we are about to publish a bible with commentary and introductions and we ask his honor to participate in this project…this is a holy work and time has come to do it…".
A mimeographed letter. The letter is hand-signed by members of the committee of "Mikra Upayrusho": Haim Nachman Bialik, Shimon Bernfeld, and M. Soloveichik [Max Soloveichik]. Alongside the signatures appears in print the name of one more committee member – N.H. Torczyner (Naftali Hertz Torczyner / Tur-Sinai).
[1] leaf, 28.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Darkened and stained paper (significant foxing. Rust marks on the right margin caused by a paper clip). Horizontal folding line and slight creases. Tears at margins.
Enclosed are: "General program of 'Mikra Upayrusho'" and "Table of Contents of 'Mikra Upayrusho'" (Five mimeographed leaves).
