The Vulgate, Latin edition of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, with numerous in-text woodcuts depicting biblical scenes, the Temple, and more. Historiated initials.
[11] leaves, 964, [52] pp, 21.5 cm. Good condition. Stains, including foxing and dampstains. Minor blemishes and creases. A small part of one woodcut is colored with felt-tipped pen. Traces of gluing to margins of title page. Front endpapers partly detached. Inked stamp and notations (old) to endpapers. Vellum-covered binding, with tears, blemishes and small wormholes (the title handwritten on the spine).
