The Vulgate, Latin edition of the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament and some of the Apocrypha, accompanied by hundreds of woodcuts by Pierre Eskrich and Maître à la Capeline (a pseudonym identified with the artist Thomas Arande). The woodcuts depict a variety of biblical scenes: The Great Flood, Jacob's Ladder, the parting of the Red Sea, the spies with a bunch of grapes, the Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones, the Temple and the Tent of Meeting and more.
[8] leaves, 1176 [i.e. 1178] pp, [50] leaves, 17.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Many stains, including dark dampstains. Creases and minor blemishes. Inked stamps to several pages. Closed and open tears to margins of several leaves. Handwritten notations to last leaf (blank). New binding and endpapers. Binding slightly worn and partly detached.
