Ketubah recording the marriage of Yitzchak son of Yosef Havilio, to Sarah daughter of R. Nissim Ezra Mandil. 14th Tishrei 1889.
Large ketubah. Neat Oriental script. Decorated in colored ink, in the style of Jerusalemite ketubot.
Signatures of the groom and witnesses, including R. "Shlomo Moshe Suzin" (the second; Jerusalem Torah scholar, grandson of the Rishon LeTzion R. Shlomo Moshe Suzin).
The Havilio family was a veteran and prominent family in Eretz Israel. The father of the bride, R. Nissim Ezra Mandil, is a signatory on various halachic rulings alongside Jerusalem rabbis.
