Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom Yechezkel son of Ezra with the bride Miriam daughter of Yitzchak. Yazd, “Nissan Mevorach” 1883. At the top of the ketubah are purple and green illustrations: a pair of doves with touching beaks, and another pair, one in each corner with charming floral ornamentation between the two. Wavy frame with curly lines. At the bottom is the Tosefet Ketubah in Judeo-Persian. Another tosefet, from Adar Rishon 1911. Among the witnesses and the signatures: Yazd Beit Din members and sages, descendants of the Or Shraga: Rabbi Moshe son of R’ Yitzchak Or Shraga, Rabbi Yosef son of R’ Or, etc. 43X57 cm. Fair condition. Open tears (primarily to the upper part). Folding marks with tears and damage to text. Stains and dampness. Many tape repairs on reverse side.
