Johanna Loewe’s diary (Heinrich Loewe’s wife) from her trip to the USA, from October 1923 to March 1924. Typewritten, with a few corrections and ink additions. Loewe vividly describes her trips to the various cities she had visited – New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia as well as the important figures, rabbis and Zionist leaders she had met – Henrietta Szold and Chaim Weizmann. Jewish life in America, prayers at synagogues, Kashrut customs are also described.
