Collection of broadsides, brochures and propaganda leaflets on behalf of "Herut" movement printed towards the elections to the constituent assembly in 1949. [Israel, ca. 1948-1949. It is possible that a number of items are later]. Hebrew and Yiddish.
1. "The Coalition" – poster with a caricature of David Ben-Gurion and other politicians.
2. Small poster with a printed caricature of David Ben-Gurion and Neville Chamberlain under the title "Mr. Chamberlain, borrow me your umbrella – now I bring peace – Munich". (Hebrew).
3. Small poster with a caricature presenting Abdullah King of Jordan, the Mufti and Ernst Bevin by the ballot box. An inscription is printed by the caricature: "Bevin-Abdulla: we shall help-and be helped! / the Mufti: Mapam promised to expel Abdullah and constitute in Jerusalem and in Nablus a 'Democratic' Arab state" (Hebrew).
4. Platform of the Hebrew Herut Movement founded by Irgun Zevai Leumi (ETZEL). A brochure published by Etzel in Palestine, Jerusalem, [1948].
5-7. Three propaganda leaflets: * "Truth wins!". "Missive to Oriental Jews". * "Collaborators with the British" (Yiddish).
8. "Permission to Speak – to Ben-Gurion" – a booklet (folded sheet) published by "Herut". The booklet deals with David Ben-Gurion, quoting passages from his essays and speeches.
