A poem and 15 impressive linocuts, in the spirit of the German expressionism, by Anatol Gurewitsch, all about the persecution of Jews in Germany.
Anatol Gurewitsch (1919-2005), native of Russia, studied in Germany, France and Italy and with the Israeli painters Miron Sima and Yitzchak Frenkel. Moved to Israel in 1934, where he painted and designed stage decoration for the theater, as well as costumes. [1] leaf + [15] linocuts. 34 cm. Fair condition. Spotting, some tears and damages to cover. Re-bound in hard cover. One linocut is pasted to a leaf and bound upside down.
