The Hebrew Republic, Petrus Cunaeus (Peter van der Cun). The writer, a Dutch Christian jurist, found in the ancient Hebrew republic a society based on the good attribute and maintains social equality. The writer used extensively the "Mishne Torah" by the Rambam, the Talmud and the writings of Josephus Flavius.
Latin with few citations in Hebrew. An engraving of Moses and Aharon on the cover.
[31], 372 pages, 11 cm. Good condition. Most of the book was professionally restored. Text missing to a few leaves. Old parchment binding, foresatz leaves(inner side of binding) are new.
