1. Hamazkir pocket calendar for 1948-1949. Published by the Jewish community of Harbin. Including short synagogue rules.
For a short period during World War I there was a Jewish community in Harbin, China, consisting of Russian Jews. This community was joined by holocaust refugees who came from Japan and Shanghai. When Harbin was conquered by the Chinese regime and the Communist government took over, the Jewish community of Harbin was extinguished.
Unknown bibliographically.
[2 pages], 24 pages. [Back cover missing]. 15 cm. Good-fair condition, stains and slight damages. Handwritten inscriptions in Hebrew and Russian within the calendar.
Attached: Calendar for 1936, remembrance gift from Yeshivat Torat Chaim in Jerusalem. Jerusalem, [1936]. With ink stamps "Main synaguge in Harbin" and "Yechiel Zvi son of Avraham Yitzchak Zuckerstein".
