The first two parts of the Bible translated by Reformed theologian Johannes Piscator (1546-1625). In this edition of the Bible (known as the Piscator Bible), Piscator strived to introduce a translation that was more loyal to the Hebrew and Greek sources than the Martin Luther translation which preceded it.
