Four souvenir postcards from Palestine, in color lithographic print, with undivided backs. Palestine and Germany: various publishers, late 19th century. Postmarks from 1898.
1-2. Two "Souvenir de Jerusalem" postcards. One depicts the Dome of the Rock, Bethlehem, and the Church of the Nativity; the other depicts the Dome of the Rock and local figures. Frankfurt: Frey & Kirsch. Both postcards were mailed, and bear cancelation stamps of the Austrian post office in Jerusalem, dated 31.10.1898.
3. Postcard showing a panoramic view of Jerusalem, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and a group of Bedouins. Leipzig: H. Weickert & Enke (within illustration: "Fr. Vester, Jerusalem"). The postcard was mailed, and bears a postmark dated 17.11.98, and an inked stamp of Kaiser Wilhelm the II's imperial camp in Jerusalem ("Camp Imperial").
4. Greeting postcard from Mikveh Israel ("Saluts de Mikveh-Jisrael"), depicting local agricultural produce. Jerusalem and Jaffa: Wilhelm Gross. Postcard was mailed, and bears a cancelation stamp of the Austrian post office in Jaffa, dated 31.10.98.
