Four posters of Fatah (Palestinian National Liberation Movement): 1. Picture of former Syrian president Hafez al-Assad (1930-2000), and the inscription "و ستبقى رمز هذه الأمه / هدية فتح الثورة القائد العربي" [May you remain the symbol of this nation…]. With the symbol of the Fatah Movement to the right and a picture of the Dome of the Rock to the left. 24.5X35 cm. 2. Picture of Hafez al-Assad within a round frame in the pattern of the Syrian and Palestinian flags; symbol of the Fatah Movement in the upper left corner. Reading: "لم يبقَ لنا إلا أنت" [We have no one but you…] and "القائد و الرائد و صاحب القرار و الحافظ لحقوق شعبنا الفلسطيني" [Leader… defender of the rights of our Palestinian people]. 34X49.5 cm. 3. Color poster for the 16th Land Day, designed by the Syrian artist Youssef Abdelki [Abdelke]. 1981. Depicting a member of the Fatah holding a rifle, on which a dove is perched; the inscription "الذكرى ١٦ لانطلاقة الثورة ١٩٦٥ ١٩٨١ (فتح)" [The 16th Anniversary of the onset of the 1965-1981 Revolution (Fatah)] appears on the poster three times. On the lower left corner, the symbol of the Fatah. 49X69 cm. 4. Color poster for the 16th Land Day, designed by Ismail Shammout. 1981. Depicting a dove with wings and head in the colors of the Palestinian flag, over Kalashnikov rifles. Reading: "Revolution until (!) Victory – ثورة حتى النصر". On the lower right corner, the symbol of the Fatah. 46.5X67.5 cm. Good overall condition. Creases and stains. Tears to edges, mostly small.
