Four objects bearing the portrait of Theodor Herzl. [Palestine and Europe / State of Israel, 20th century].
Brass, cast; copper; fabric.
1. Embroidery, portrait of Theodor Herzl looking down from the balcony of his room at the Three Kings Hotel in Basel, Switzerland, at the time of the Fifth Zionist Congress. Set in frame, 30X25 cm. (not examined outside of frame).
2. Cast plaque with portrait of Theodor Herzl along with the Hebrew caption "If you will it, it is no dream / Herzl" in elegant letters; set in original metal frame, with stand, product of the Pal-Bell decorative arts manufacturing company (marked on back). 14.5X11 cm.
3. Small statuette, for tabletop (as paperweight?) with bust of Theodor Herzl. Height: 7 cm.
4. Napkin holder with portrait of Theodor Herzl along with the Hebrew caption "If you will it, it is no dream / Herzl." Height: 10 cm.
