These contracts do not a have Jewish connection (although some have signatures in Hebrew), but they are valuable from an artistic perspective and we have placed them here next to the Iranian ketubot whose illustrations were impacted by the art motifs which were widespread in Iran during the 19th century, for comparison and study [see, for example, items 717-718].
