A booklet issued by the Jewish congregation in Nice in honor of one of its members, Ya'akov Dubinsky (born in Rashkov, 1861), a wealthy merchant and activist, one of the city's nost influential people, on his eightieth birthday. The booklet, printed during WW II and the holocaust, is stenciled, and includes greetings from congregation rabbis and members, rabbis in Belgium, pupils of the Hebrew school (and Talmud Torah) of "Ezrat Achim" synagogue, and more. The booklet also includes a humoristic text for Purim. Illustrations, professionally colored by hand, featuring Jewish religious objects and monuments appear throughout the booklet, including a drawing of the ark in "Adat Israel" synagogue, Nice. The booklet and most of the illustrations were created by Eliezer Berson (Ben Dov), of Nice (see item no. 496). A handwritten dedication appears on the title page. [1], 40 leaves, 32 cm.
